It's 1:38 a.m. and I am totally incoherent right now, but very greatly amused.

There's an application I play on Facebook called "Pet Dragons." I play it with a bunch of other people and it's become like a fandom for me basically. We're playing the original game. Tonight the new game "Pet Dragons 2" was due to launch. A bunch of us North American players were staying up late to play it (name our new dragon, choose a cave location, ect.) and the European players got up early for it.

According to the status message from the devs, the server lasted five seconds before it crashed.

Epic.

Pet Dragons fans are so dedicated we killed the server. And now everyone is messaging about i frantically. It's awesome. I can hardly think straight for being up nearly three hours past bedtime, but it's so very funny I'm glad I didn't miss it.

So here's the thing... I have this Japanese test on Saturday, right (because, you know, I'm not busy enough right now) and there's just one tiny problem... In preparation, we were told to look over the Unit 1 quiz in our textbook and... I don't understand it. Even when I'm looking at the answers I'm all like WTF? The sentences therein seem to bear no relation to the lessons in Unit 1. This is most vexing. It's not that the test counts for anything, but when you actually study and you still don't understand that's sort of frustrating. I mean the book is apparently pulling vocabulary out of its ass. Great. Thanks. At least I'll ace the kanji part.

Btw, I don't suppose anyone on my flist plays Pet Dragons on Facebook? I'm about to have my tail handed to me to by one of the biggest dragons in the game, which is sad because I was about to hit a new benchmark. Alas! I've been playing consistently with a single friend and we've been doing great but we're both getting attacks up the wazoo lately.

Oh yeah and Nano. I've barely had time for that today. But at least I'm ahead in general. Maybe I can sneak in a few hundred words in a bit. As it stands I've got this:
